TPT Forests: SBI Maia Maiden Voyage

Challenge

To capture the SBI Maia in port and provide a memorable thank you present.

Solution

We produced a video of the world’s biggest specialised log-carrying ship SBI Maia when it was in port at NorthPort, Marsden Point.

ISS McKay Ltd, New Zealand’s marine agency specialists, commissioned us to film SBI Maia in port, so they could give their client (the owner of the ship) a surprise “thank you” present. The SBI Maia had the largest log load ever to leave New Zealand. We shot time-lapse video, ground and aerial video to complete the project. While we were on site we followed the port’s health and safety regulations.
